Kate White, MLA for Takhini–Kopper King

Born and raised in the Yukon, Kate graduated from F.H. Collins with a French Immersion diploma before earning a culinary diploma and a Red Seal in baking.

Before establishing the iconic Midnight Sun Coffee Roasters cafe at Canada Games Centre, Kate worked internationally and maintains a reputation as a skilled cake decorator.

Kate has also worked in the mining industry and works as a life skills coach with women from all walks of life at Corrections Yukon.

A fervent mountain biking enthusiast, Kate was instrumental in creating the Dirt 'n' Soul Mountain Bike Skills Park near the Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre. She supports a cooperative solution to protecting McIntyre Creek.

    We live in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We breath clean air, we can drink out of streams and rivers and we're surrounded by wild spaces. I want to live in a place where this is valued and respected by government as much as it is by the people who choose to live here.
